1. What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. When you subscribe or make a purchase, we collect billing information through our secure payment provider — we never store your card details on our servers.

As you use the platform, we collect information about what you create and how you use the service. This includes the designs you generate, projects you build, files you upload, and actions you take. We also collect standard technical information such as your browser type and IP address.

2. How we use it

We use your information to run your account, deliver the services you have paid for, and send you important updates about your orders, quotes, and account.

We use aggregated, anonymised usage patterns to understand how to improve the platform. This data cannot identify you personally.

We do not use your information for advertising. We do not sell your data to third parties.

3. Who can see it

Your personal information is accessible only to RugGenerator staff who need it to operate and support the service.

When you publish a design to the marketplace, buyers can see the design and its listed details. Your personal identity is not disclosed to buyers unless you choose to include it.

When a production order is placed, the manufacturer receives the project specifications needed to fulfil the order. Your personal identity is not shared with manufacturers by default.

We use trusted service providers to operate the platform — for payments, email delivery, file storage, and infrastructure. These providers process your data only as necessary to deliver the service and are bound by strict data protection agreements.

We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

4. How long we keep it

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal information is anonymised within 24 hours and your files are removed from our servers.

Financial records are retained for 7 years as required by accounting regulations. These records are anonymised after account deletion and cannot be linked back to you.

Usage activity is retained for 90 days. Account audit history is retained for 12 months.

5. Your rights

You can download a complete copy of your account data at any time from your account settings.

You can correct inaccurate information by contacting our support team.

You can delete your account and all associated data from your account settings page at any time.

You can submit a formal data access, portability, rectification, or erasure request by emailing privacy@ruggenerator.com. We respond within 30 days.

6. Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. These are necessary for the platform to function.

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. We do not share your browsing behaviour with any advertising networks.
