Who can request a custom quote?
Anyone with a RugGenerator account can request a custom quote. Free users can submit quote requests. Pro and Studio users can also create and send quotes directly.
A quote sets out the design specification, dimensions, materials, and price before any production begins.
Can a quote be changed after it is sent?
Yes. The person who created the quote can issue a revised version at any time before it is approved. Each revision is tracked so both parties can see the history.
Once a quote is approved, it is locked. Any changes after approval require a new quote.
What does approving a quote mean?
Approving a quote confirms that you agree to the design specification and price. It is the step before payment and production begin.
Approval does not charge you automatically. The next step — checkout — is where payment is collected.
How long is a quote valid?
Quote validity is set by the person who creates it and shown on the quote itself. If a quote expires before you approve it, contact the creator to request an updated version.
What is a commission brief?
A commission brief is a request you post publicly describing a rug you want designed. Designers on the platform can respond with proposals including their approach and pricing.
You review the proposals and choose the one that fits best. The platform fee applies when you select a proposal.
